Laura is from solid Fleurie stock - her father is Lucien and brother Yannick - and has worked and drunk with the very best names in the region. She jokes about the fact she couldnt really do anything else, but her energetic enthusiasm for the terroir she has known all her life suggests she never thought twice about it, and whilst obviously gaining great knowledge and skill from her father, she has certainly made her own mark on her wines too. She works 5 ha across Moulin a Vent, Fleurie Chenas and Morgon 'Cote de Py', with a little Chardonnay next to the cellar, and a negoc project with her frenind Jerome to make a delicious bright Beaujolais Village. Her work is by hand, and ecologically balanced, and her ferments are spontaneous, using no fining or filtration either. Her cellar is well ordered, clean and each wine tasted from tank seemed to be in a perfect drinking condition, always a good sign when visiting a new grower! (incidentally she does not fine or filter, and aims for around 20-30mg/l total SO2)
