Spring News at CBW

A few points of interest for you:
• The Real Wine Fair Month in May: We are participating in The Real Wine Fair in London over three days, 20th 21st and 22nd May in London. May is Real Wine Month with lots of promotional work and press activity so if you want to get involved let me know and I will pass on the relevant details. We have around 8 producers coming over for this and it promises to be pretty good fun.
• Jean Francois Merieau Cent Visage 2009 will be Wine of the Month in Decanter magazine and new stocks have arrived (see below for general stock news).
• I am heading to Alimentaria next week for Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. If any of you are heading out and want to come and taste some of producers wines with me let me know.
Producers to hone in on are: Ayles; Castell d’Encus; Agricola Labastida; Forjas del Salnes; Dominio do Bibei; Felix Cachazo.
• Budget: We will be increasing prices a little, although euro rates have offset many of the big hikes. I will send out a new portfolio as soon as the prices are released.

Happy New Year!

2012 is going to be a cracker. We have our sights on a number of producers, most of whom operate in the biodynamic realm and many are of significant note and lots more besides. We are having our first official outing to wines of Spain in March and with any luck will have some more blinding news relating to the company in a month or so. Let me know if you are headed to Angers for the Salon de Loire, or Vinisud, Vinitaly or just generally heading out to the eurozone (or whatever it will be by next month), perhaps we can meet for a pie and a pint.

Cheers!

Ben
