We are delighted to announce the arrival of a new grower just in time for summer. Famille Dornier – parents Christine and Nicolas, son Charles working organically in AOP Maury, Cotes Catalanes and Cotes du Roussillon
We very often hear about loss of land under vine due to French inheritance laws. The case of the Dornier Family 2002 saw this the other way around and a family of oenologists and cellar designers reassembled plots in Tautavel, Maury itself and Saint Paul de Fenouillet under their own name once again.
Grenache noir, blanc and gris, Macabeu, Carignan and Syrah thrive on the steep black schist hills and clay-schist/limestone of the Haute Valle de l’Agly. Mar and Munt are bright and joyful followed by the more gastronomic Idylle, Flirt and 1+1+3 rouge. Flirt is a very near cousin to Pas d’escalette Ze Rose in style.
