Champagne Bardiau is a boutique, family-run estate located in Verpillières-sur-Ource, in the southern part of the Côte des Bar region of Champagne. Spanning 2.6 hectares, the estate has been under the stewardship of the Bardiau family for five generations. In 2015, Jérémy Bardiau began producing his own champagnes, emphasizing the unique characteristics of his diverse terroirs. The estate is committed to sustainable viticulture, holding the "Viticulture Durable en Champagne" certification, and employs both stainless steel and oak barrel vinification to craft complex, expressive wines. Each wine represents a specific terroir and is vintage, choosing to reflect the year and terroir over blends. 

 

Champagne Bardiau Wines

Preface 70 % Pinot Noir 30 % Chardonnay. Kimmeridgian/Portlandian from Champignol-lez-Mondeville et Verpillieres-sur-Ource respectively. 8 months on fine lees in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Ageing for 24 months minimum
La Croix Maitre Anne Blanc de Blancs 100 % Chardonnay. Single parcel "La Croix Maitre Anne" sat on Kimmeridgian limestone and clay. 60% in stainless steel tanks, 40% in oak barrels. 24 months minimum ageing. Extra Brut (4 g/L)
Besace Blanc de Noirs 100% Pinot Noir. Single parcel "Besace" sat on Portlandian limestone. Vinified entirely in Burgundy barrels. 40 months minimum ageing sur lattes.Extra Brut (1 g/L)
