Domaine des Terres de Velle
This is a new domaine created by Fabrice and Sophie Laronze based in Auxey-Duresses. Before they started this new challenge they both worked at Domaine Alex Gambal and have a wealth of experience in their chosen vocation. They have five hectares of vineyard in the Côte de Beaune which is run using lutte raisonnée, using no chemical weedkillers and tilling the soil to preserve the natural biodiversity. Winemaking is done with great care, minimum human intervention and respect of the lunar cycle. We are expecting our first shipment of their 2009's to arrive soon, including Volnay, Auxey-Duresses Rouge, Bourgogne Blanc and Bourgogne Rouge. These wines are superb examples of their respective appellations and we are sure that this domaine will quickly gain an excellent reputation.
