Domaine de Villeneuve
Stanislas Wallut makes great Châteauneuf-du-Pape, however we have secured a parcel of his remarkable new Côtes du Rhone offering called “La Griffe”. This is produced from a four hectare vineyard of fifty year old Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvedre vines that Stanislas is currently converting to biodynamic viticulture to fit in with the philosophy of his domaine. This plot is at extreme northern limit of the appellation, only three hundred metres from Villeneuve. The wine is full-bodied and spicy, in a style reminiscent of his Châteauneuf, but with especially eye-catching packaging.
