Domaine Deliance is situated in Dracy-le-Fort, two kilometres from the village of Givry. The estate has 15 hectares of vineyard and they specialize in sparkling wines. The Crémant is produced in exactly the same way as Champagne and aged for over 20 months on lees prior to disgorging, adding greater complexity and weight. This is a fabulous alternative to Champagne and the cuvée we have chosen is dominated by Pinot Noir (85%). It has a very expressive nose of red fruits and white flowers, with biscuit undertones, a creamy mousse and soft, fresh palate. An excellent aperitif, it also has the character and versatility to complement a variety of different foods. Ruban d’Or is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, 50/50, where the chardonnay is fermented and aged in wooden casks, and the final
blend is aged for 3 years sur latte. It is intense and incredibly complex wine. Their village Givry is an excellent example of Pinot Noir from the Chalonnaise at a very sensible price, with soft tannins and bright cherry and raspberry fruit. The Bourgogne Rouge, a new addition to the range, is stunning value with a supple yet vibrant palate bursting with raspberry, cranberry and damson flavours.
