Changarnier is tucked away in the heart of the village of Monthelie, it is rather small, but perfectly formed with the finely tuned Fabrice Groussin at the helm. The vineyards are more appropriately measured in Ares rather than hectares but there are parcels in each part of the village, as well as small parcel in Meursault and Volnay. These wines are incredibly refined and lightfooted, watercolours not oil paintings, but each one reflects the terroir precisely. Vineyard
work is by hand and the fruit is sorted prior to ferment. The wines spend 12 months in barrel, with only a small portion now being new and the wines are bottled without filtration of fining. We also havea tiny allocation of the new Bourgogne Chardonnay and Pommard 1er Cru, but let us know if you are interested in these wines as they are on allocation only.
